Backpacking, broke, no plans for New Year’s?  Never fear, help is at hand.  The Fat Camel Backpacking Hostel and Bar and Fusion Backpacking Hostel and Bar are teaming up to give you an unforgettable New Year’s Eve.

Kick off the night with happy hour drinks in the Fat Camel Bar from 5pm with all house drinks at the rock bottom price of $4.  Once 2009 starts to loom towards us we will move the party up to Fusion.

If you thought Auckland was a beautiful city at night wait till you see it covered in the glow of New Year’s Eve fireworks.  Fusion’s rooftop party will provide the perfect viewing spot and with $5 pints all night you can’t go wrong.

Fusion’s rooftop party is open to all Fat Camel and Fusion guests and not only that but DJ’s are set to rock Fusion’s main club all night as well.

Thought you didn’t have any New Year’s Eve plans?  Think again.

At Nomads Capital Backpackers in Wellington we held our very first Tattoo Contest. Some of the exciting entries we received can be seen below. We had some very little entries right up to large ones. The grand prize winner was Melissa Cameron from Canada with her Willow Tree tribute to her Grandma. Melissa won a free nights backpacker accommodation in Wellington at Nomads Capital.
