Nomads Industry Backpackers visit little, little penguins!

What a time, what a time. I’m here at Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel for almost two months already and I decided I love Melbourne, Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel, Australia and doing tours! (and all the things I forgot to wrote down). I also decided to go brown instead of blonde. Brunettes have more fun? Yes, read below!

The nobbies

Because I don’t want to get lazy and want to discover everything around and in Melbourne I try to go on a tour every two weeks when I’m here at Nomads Industry Backpackers. Last week I did the Philip island tour. The great ocean road tour that I did before was great and so was the Philip island tour. Seeing all those animals that are normally in the zoo in Holland without a fence was really great. It was funny though that I was allowed to feed the kangaroo but I wasn’t allowed to feed the goat. Strange dutchies as we are, feeding goats all the time.

First we went to a winery, I felt a bit out of place there. Everyone was tasting the wine as they were professional wine tasters. But we were just drinking the wine (wine is to drink, that’s what we thought). After the great wine experience up to Maru wildlife centre. Seeing all the Australian animals was cool. The first time I saw all these they were dead already in the Melbourne museum. Marlou and Anne took care of the feeding part of the tour, they fed all the animals while I was making pretty pictures and being careful not to get attacked.

After all of the antipasti (and the pizza) we went to the Nobbies. When we arrived at the Nobbies, the wind almost blew us away. It was a nice view though, the Nobbies and the rough sea getting to each other. After the Nobbies (the main dish) up to a cold cold dessert, the penguin parade. It already started raining and we didn’t brought a rain coat (we are in Australia?). It was touristic but that didn’t mattered.

The penguin parade was a cold, fun, cold and unforgettable experience. When in your life you are watching penguins heading back to their homes out of the sea? Exactly that’s why it was so special. We weren’t aloud to make pictures, because it damages the penguins eyes and I think the experience is away then. You have to check it our yourself and see the penguins hopping on land group by group. Visit Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel, Melbourne and jump on this tour, Adorable!

Cheers!
