Yes it’s true, there really is so much going on at The Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel and Bar that it’s hard to keep up with it all.

If you need to recover from the All Blacks afterparty on Saturday the 2nd August, why not spend the afternoon in the Fat Camel Bar listening to Zoh Zoh a traditional African drumming and dance band.

They’re absolutely fantastic so make sure you get here by 2pm so that you don’t miss out!

The Auckland Backpackers Bar will be open from midday on the Sunday and Zoh Zoh will be there to entertain you from 2pm until 5pm!

Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel and Bar in Auckland is pleased to be host to Pay and Display who played here on the 13th June.

It was a fantastic night and they really got the bar pumping, so make sure you come along to Fort Street in downtown Auckland TONIGHT to watch them perform for the second time!

Aucklands number one male revue show “The Coverboys” are coming to Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel on Thursday the 10th July. And don’t you worry ladies, it’ll be only women who’ll be allowed into the privacy of the first floor lounge to witness this event! So feel free to scream with delight at the ‘firemen’ and ‘cowboys’ who’ll be gracing us with their presence… 

Meet in the Fat Camel Backpackers Bar at 5pm on Thursday the 10th July and ticket holders will be taken upstairs when the first half of the show begins!

The Crew from Explore NZ came along to Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel and Bar last night to host their first ever Thursday night Backpackers Bar promotion. It started off civilised with the Crew teaching The Fat Camel Backpackers how to tie various knots!

Everyones new-found skills were then used for a slightly different purpose; tying up one of the other youth hostel guests!

The winner of a 2-4-1 sailing trip on the America’s Cup Boat was the first to untie themselves from their chair. (We did delay the competition slightly just because it was funny seeing them wondering what was going on!)
