Nomads Esplanade Backpackers Hostel Staff excited about whales

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Cairns in North Queensland, a travellers paradise! There is something for everyone to enjoy and the staff at Nomads Esplanade Backpackers Hostel can give you heaps of advice on how to spend your time.

At the moment our recommended activity is to go and see the whales whose yearly migration has started early. Normally they migrate between June and July but Nomads Esplanade Backpackers Hostel staff were thrilled to learn that they’ve already been spotted.

They’re such curious creatures that they would swim within meters from you! At our Cairns Backpackers Tour Desk we know “Eco-companies” that can take you for a ride for a few days to see these amazing animals up close!

Come and see us at Nomads Esplanade Backpackers Hostel for the swim of a life time!!!

Weddings at Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel Auckland?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

The accountant at Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel in Auckland has decided that one of the backpackers hostel staff members - Kate (who is admittedly getting on a bit), should be married by December 25th. If she hasn’t found anyone to marry by December 1st then apparently it’s up to the Auckland Backpackers staff to find a man for her!

Kate is a little bit put out by the suggestion that she should be married by her age but she was pleased that Sri the backpackers hostel accountant thinks that other staff members should also be thinking about settling down!

So if there are any men out there who feel the need to get married by December please send photos to Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel!

Dutch Celebrations at Nomads Industry Melbourne Backpackers Hostel

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Melbourne Backpackers Hostel Nomads Industry turned a shade of orange last Wednesday to celebrate the Dutch Queens Day, a major public holiday back in the Netherlands and the perfect excuse for another massive party at our Melbourne Backpackers Youth Hostel.

The Dutch style party was led by our very own Melbourne Backpackers Hostel Dutch intern Sabine who made sure tradition was honored with crazy Dutch games, delicious Dutch treats and an hilarious attempt at the anthem by our many non-Dutch backpackers.

The Melbourne Backpackers Hostel Bar was a sea of orange as the glowing party goers grooved on the dance-floor to the disco beat and enjoyed their mega cheap Heineken.

Our orange party shakers laughed the night away and a fun filled evening was had by all, well worth the hideous hangovers plaguing many of the backpackers the following day.

Nomads Fat Camel Backpacker Bar recovers after the Foo Fighters

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Central Auckland Backpackers Bar The Fat Camel is slowly recovering after two very busy nights! All the Foo Fighter fans joined our long and short term youth hostel guests at Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel before and after the two sold out concerts at Vector Arena.

Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel and Bar is less than 5 minutes walk away from Vector Arena so it was the perfect place to have a few drinks before and after each of the Foo Fighter gigs!

The Auckland Backpackers Hostel even shouted all those fans their first drink when they returned to The Fat Camel Bar. Thanks to all the fans who behaved exceptionally well during their stay with us at Nomads Fat Camel Backpackers Hostel.

If there’s an event coming up at Vector Arena and you don’t want to miss out, make sure you organise your accommodation in advance. Email Nomads Fat Camel for more information on room rates or check out our website

Drunken Debauchery at Melbourne Backpackers Youth Hostel Bar

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Melbourne’s Craziest Backpackers Bar Industry Bar and Lounge experienced an hour of insanity Sunday afternoon when the Melbourne Backpackers Hostel Bar was flooded with hordes of students on the drunken leg of their pub crawl.

Our Melbourne Backpackers leisurely Sunday session was interrupted as the students stormed the bar, ‘Time Warp’ erupted on the sound system and madness ensued. No stranger to wild parties our Melbourne Hostel Backpackers couldn’t help getting caught up in the revelry and threw back a couple jagerbombs for good measure.

As the students crawled off to the next pub the Melbourne Hostel Backpackers reclaimed their bar and took a load off as they marveled at the astonishing antics of an intoxicated Australian youth.

If you’re looking for the perfect venue for your next birthday party or function, check out Industry Bar and Lounge, part of Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel in central Melbourne and let the fun begin..
