Birthday wishes from Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel in Melbourne

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Melbourne Backpackers Hostel Nomads Industry wishes Angie from Esplanade Backpackers Hostel in Cairns a very Happy Birthday today as she clocks in at 25.

Angie recently joined the Nomads Esplanade Cairns Backpackers Hostel Team after spending 5 months in Wellington at Nomads Capital Backpackers Hostel where she bought drunken chaos and uproarious laughter into the lives of all the staff and guests.

Angie left quite the legacy behind at Nomads Capital and tales of her drunken misadventures still echo in the hallways of this Wellington Backpackers Hostel. Angie, the reigning Queen of fancy dress, and her reception cronies would often wreak havoc on Blend Bar kitted out in some ridiculous attire as they chased boys in skirts and vodka with jaeger.

Sorely missed by her Wellington counterparts Angie is now leading the team at Nomads Esplanade Backpackers Hostel in Cairns where she is no doubt doing her utmost to lead those Cairns Backpackers into temptation..

If you’re cruising around Cairns today don’t forget to stop by Nomads Esplanade Backpackers Hostel to wish Angie a Happy Birthday and to partake in what is sure to be another raucous party Angie-styles.

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Angie from all of the Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel crew in Melbourne!

Mick bares all at Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel in Melbourne

Monday, May 19th, 2008

One of the best things about staying at a backpackers hostel is the fun people you get to meet and Melbourne Backpackers Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel is lucky enough to have its own crew of wacky staff to keep our Melbourne Backpackers Hostel guests entertained.

Meet Mick

Mick is 26 years old, single, a little on the short side and can usually be found cavorting with our backpackers guests in our backpackers bar Industry Bar and Lounge.

Mick enjoys scotch, short walks on the beach, travelling and rocking the mike at our Melbourne Backpackers Hostel Bar as party mayhem unfolds before his eyes.

It turns out however that there is more to Mick than meets the eye. Backpackers residing at Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel were shocked over the weekend when Mick revealed the goods he had hidden beneath his swanky shirt.

Supposedly a drunken dare gone wrong back in his heyday up at the crazy Cairns Backpackers Hostels Esplanade Backpackers Hostel and Serpent Hostel Mick claims he woke up one morning sporting a new ‘look’…

Stay tuned to find out more goss on the Nomads Industry Backpackers Hostel crew in Melbourne.

Whale Season!

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Some of the Serpent Backpackers Hostel Cairns staff recently took a day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef and had a fantastic time!

The Coral Reef is beautiful this time of year, there is an abundance of marine life to see!  Travellers, just like the staff, are getting excited here in Cairns at the Serpent Backpackers Hostel for the Minke Whale season, which is just around the corner.

There are many trips that go up to the Cod Hole, giving Cairns Backpackers a chance to get up  close and personal with these magnificant creatures! The knowledgable staff at the Serpent Youth Hostel Tour Desk can recommend anyone the trip of a lifetime! Bring on the whales!!! See you soon at the Nomads Serpent Backpackers Hostel Cairns!

The Arts Factory Backpackers Lodge proudly becomes a part of Nomads.

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

The Arts Factorys Backpackers Lodge in Byron Bay has recently become a part of Nomads and we are having our first dig at adding to their funky blog. It has been a big and exciting summer for the Arts Factory Backpackers Hostel but we are also looking forward to the beautiful winter months.

This is the time that we get clear winter days, where you can still sunbake on our beautiful beaches and the surf is offshore all day.

The winter migration starts for the Humpback Whales and the Splendour in Grass Rock Festival is held in August. It is really a good time to enjoy Byron Bay for it’s laid back style and the Arts Factory Youth Hostel for it’s ultra laid back style.

Come and join us for winter, have a beer at the Buddha Bar, go to the Lounge Cinema, make a didgeridoo, take a trip to Nimbin, do the highest Skydive in Australia, learn to Surf or just no Nothing.

Adious from the Arts Factory Backpackers Lodge, new Post soon! Yeh!

Nomads Beach House Backpackers Hostel Dress Up Party!!

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Cairns Beach House Backpackers Hostel celebrated staff member Scott’s birthday on Saturday May 3rd. It had been decided a couple of weeks earlier that our Cairns Backpackers would make it a dress up party but the youth hostel staff couldn’t decide on a theme so it was up to each person.

All the Backpackers Hostel staff had costumes organized for the night and slowly during the night the costumes would appear! Birthday boy came as Fred Flintstone and other costumes ranged from a priest to a gladiator and many more.

The night was made to be a GREAT one for all of us as well as our Beach House Bar!! The Backpackers Bar staff ALL got involved and had let all the Cairns Beach House backpackers know about it during the day to make sure the bar was full that night. All the Cairns Backpackers had a great time and were talking about it the next day for those who could remember the night!

All the Cairns Beach House Backpackers Hostel staff and all the backpackers of course ended up out on the town in the popular Rhino Bar in Cairns still wearing our costume’s to make sure we stood out from the crowd which we sure did!
